For patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and treated with dialysis by creating vascular access through an AV fistula or graft. A common complication of an AV fistula or graft is the development of a thrombus or ischemia which restricts blood flow. Procedures to treat these conditions include angioplasty (balloon catheter used to open the occluded artery), stenting, thrombectomy (surgical removal of blood clot), thrombolysis (breakdown of blood clot with medication), and surgical revision of the AV fistula or graft.
