FY 2022 ICD-10-PCS Code Updates Released
The ICD-10 Procedural Coding System (ICD-10-PCS) codes and updates for FY 2022 have been released, and are available on the 2022 ICD-10-PCS page of the CMS website. These codes are to be used for discharges occurring from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. The update files include official coding and reporting guidelines, code tables, index, definitions addenda and conversion table. The update summary includes a total of 78,220 codes, the greatest number of which is located in the Medical and Surgical Section. The total number of codes includes addition of 191 new codes, revision of 62 titles and deletion of 107 codes.
